THE MASTER STORYTELLER
Submitted by Suzanne Borges
Story telling is a time-honored tradition through the millennia of human history. Before there were written languages, cultures would preserve oral history for younger generations through stories, such as the Norse sagas, or in song lyrics that commemorated great people and events. Ancient Greece storyteller Aesop provided moral lessons through his fables. The early European church used stories publicly performed as morality plays to teach Church doctrine to the uneducated.
