My name is Annie Rose, and I'm the Discipleship Pastor here at Saddlerock. I work with the staff and ministry teams to create opportunities for our people to grow as followers of Christ. So if you're interested in attending a Sunday morning Adult Ed class, joining a small group, or looking for a spiritual mentor, I can help you get connected.
We are also developing a Gifts Discernment team to help our people identify their God-given abilities and discern their call to service. Every part of the body of Christ has a function, and we are healthiest when every part is equipped to do its work!
As we grow as disciples of Christ, the church matures and faithfully lives out its mission “To intimately know and boldly follow Jesus.”
Beginning September 9, 2018
Our Adult Discipleship team will offer these Sunday morning Adult Ed options:
- The Reformation Class, led by Larry McCracken, will resume with Standing Firm in Truth; a study of 2 Timothy. The class will meet in the library at 9 a.m.
- Dan Boers will teach a class on the book Misreading Scripture with Western Eyes. Meeting in room 271 at 9 a.m.
- Elders will teach Saddlerock 201. This is a training course for prospective elders and deacons, or anyone interested in delving into our heritage as an Evangelical, Reformed, and Presbyterian church. The class will meet in the library at 10:30 a.m.
- The Way, led by Suzanne Borges, will begin a series on Acts 1-12: The Birth of the Church. Meeting in room 271 at 10:30 a.m.
In the months ahead, you will see the growing development of the following groups that come under Adult Discipleship: Bible Studies, Small Groups and currently, two classes under Adult Education - Connections Group (a.k.a. The Way) and The Reformation class. In addition, the new Mentoring program.
Please see Pastor Annie with any questions you may have, and be sure to check back with us here as these ministries continue to develop.
